So, as it turns out...

I was browsing the internet, and it turns out that I'm a not a great blogger. This isn't really a surprise to me. Nor do I care really; I mean, I'll be the first to admit I'm not excellent at this. I never expected to be. I know I can always get better. My reason for starting IMVHO was not to be terrific or an internet entity. That's not me. I started this blog so I could express opinions and be a happier person. If some people follow along the way, that's awesome. However, I never asked them to. It's their choice.
What triggered this? Well, as I said I was browsing the internet, and came across an article titled "The Newbie Guide to Blogging".

 http://www.lifehack.org/articles/communication/the-newbie-guide-to-blogging.html

Of course I don't think the article is catered to ME specifically, I do find the content a little bit... off putting. Not in a criminal way, just in a sort of "know it all" kind of way.
I wasn't aware there were "rules" to in regards to blogging. I guess I break a lot of them though. I can't remember one time (in my life even) where I used bullet points. Maybe he's catering to more informational or business type blogs? If that's the case, it's not a big issue and I just made myself look like a fool. But otherwise, please specify.

  1. A blog is just a platform, a medium. It's a place for you, the blogger, the artist, to express anything you want to share with the whole world. "Rules of blogging" are like "rules of music": if you want to be safe, follow them; if you want to have fun, break them — you run the risk of failure but then again, what genius was born out of following rules?
